About Us

Our Story

Let us tell you about us.

Well, imagine it, Broken Bow, November of 2019, it was a beautiful, crisp Sunday morning, we headed to church, then he took me to my favorite restaurant, at the time, The Rolling Fork Takery in Hochatown. (It is now The Eat out, and it is good!) We drove around the area admiring the fall foliage, which is both our favorite time of the year. And it has continued just like that since. We have stayed in several of the different cabins and lodges in Hochatown; celebrating birthdays, wanting a little getaway, or having friends in town to show them our beautiful area. But as you all know, it can't be all fun and games all the time.

Scott is from a small town just East of us, DeQueen, Arkansas. Being an avid fisherman, as he is, he has fished all the surrounding lakes, but Broken Bow Lake is his all-time favorite. He moved to Broken Bow in 2002, continued life and had three beautiful girls. Their favorite past-time is boating, fishing, or tubing on Broken Bow Lake. Another favorite past-time of Scotts' is golfing. He has golfed both Cedar Creek Golf Course in Hochatown and The Idabel Country Club, in Idabel, Oklahoma, just 12 miles South of us. Scott will tell you that Cedar Creek Golf Course is one of the most scenic golf courses he has golfed, with the lake right on it and the possibility of deer being near, "sometimes its breathtaking." So, when he isn't fishing and golfing, he is a seasoned paramedic. He has worked the Hochatown/Broken Bow area since 2016, and he is a former volunteer on the Hochatown Volunteer Fire Department. He attended the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, Ar.

Crystal is a native of Broken Bow and growing up has spent several weekends in Beavers Bend State Park, either hiking, camping, or bringing friends to enjoy the beautiful Mountain Fork River that runs through it. She could also be found on the shorelines of Broken Bow Lake soaking up the rays. Crystal has always had a hobby of catering weddings and get-togethers at the amphitheater in the park. She has had two full-time careers in her life; first working with the United States Department of Agriculture and secondly, a funeral director; in which she was able to serve, help and love on the people of her community during the hardest times of their lives. She is a graduate of Paris Junior College, Paris, Tx, Texas A&M-Commerce, Tx, and Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Dallas, Tx.

Together, Scott and Crystal, thoroughly enjoy being on Broken Bow Lake, tubing or fishing with the girls and other family. We still love to eat in Hochatown; you can find us at any of the following restaurants: Shuck Me Hochatown, The Eat Out, Shady Oaks Restaurant, Stevens Gap, Mountain Fork Brewery, and Beavers Bend Restaurant; in Broken Bow, we enjoy going to The Oaks Steakhouse, Papa Poblanos, and Smiths Good Eats; in Idabel, we like eating at Jake's Brickhouse Grill, Roma's Italian Restaurant, and the Red B Restaurant.

You will notice we are huge supporters of our local people.  All customized items you receive from us will be from local businesswomen or men of the area.
